We have adapted our usual two-day workshop for a virtual tele-conferencing format to provide participants with an opportunity to explore creative ways of integrating these approaches into an effective therapeutic intervention -- when to use, when not to use Motivational Interviewing. Motivational Interviewing is a client-centered, evidence-based, directive method for enhancing intrinsic motivation to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence.

Effective Conversations That Make A Difference-An Overview of MI

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a particular way of having a conversation about change so it is that the client rather than the clinician who voices the arguments for change.  It is a measurable, person-centered approach that provides a framework,  along with skills and strategies for effective conversations.  Participants will leave this interactive webinar with specific skills and strategies that they can put to use immediately.
