What is MI & Victim Advocacy?

In the aftermath of violence and trauma, victims are faced with an exhaustive list of decisions to make and changes to manage. Join Dr. Kate Watson to learn unique ways to apply motivational interviewing skills in your work with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, human trafficking, and other forms of power-based violence.

Who Can Attend?

Even though the session may be best suited for those who have already learned the basics of motivational interviewing, all are welcome to attend and participate. While victim advocates, child advocates, and family advocates may be most attracted to the session, it is open to anyone who may, through the course of their work, encounter a survivor of trauma.
